starnes technician job

  • Technicians are responsible for the following:

    • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.

    • Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.

    • Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety work is required for a quality repair.

    • Performs all body repairs according to estimate.

    • Performs welding, soldering, body alignment and oxidizing operations.

    • Operates all equipment in collision center in a safe manner.

    • Maintains stall in an orderly and clean manner.

    • Documents all work performed for the duration of the job and as soon as the job is completed.

    • Uses basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for correct mixing of chemicals.

    • Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes.

    • Must be pro active and ready to work in a busy environment without compromising safety and quality.

    • High school Diploma or equivalent.

    • At least 2 years automotive experience.

    • Must have a valid driver’s license.

    • I-CAR Certification is a plus
